Building homes. Building hope.
Building Saint Louis.
Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent place to live. We are dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and work toward that goal with a comprehensive program in which hard-working St. Louis families invest their time into actually building, buying and owning a home. Our volunteers are also an integral part of our program. Each year, around 3,000 volunteers give their time and talent on the build site, in the ReStore, on a committee or in our office. Join our team as we work to ensure every man, woman and child in our community has a decent place to live.</</
Working on one of our build sites is truly a remarkable and unique experience! Erect walls, pound nails and landscape backyards alongside fellow volunteers and Habitat Saint Louis homebuyers. We welcome experienced and non-experienced individuals who are 16 years of age and older. A Build Day is a full day commitment, typically from 7:45am-3:30pm on Saturdays.
Since we prioritize our Keystone Community and Builders Club Groups on the build site, opportunities for individuals may be limited and offered on short notice. However, during our busy season (typically, though not always, June-September) we try to reserve 1-3 Saturday build days each month for individual volunteers.
Are you wanting to learn more about the Habitat construction process and develop specialized skills? Join our Weekday Crew! The Weekday Crew consists of volunteers who are dedicated to helping our construction staff stay on schedule. Crews meet on Monday (Monday Crew), Wednesday (Wednesday Crew) and Friday (Friday Crew) from 7:45am-3:30pm. The Tuesday Crew meets at the HFHSL warehouse periodically to organize supplies and repair tools. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
We want you! Construction Leaders are integral to the sustainability of Habitat for Humanity Saint Louis. We simply cannot build homes without the help of our construction leaders who provide guidance and oversight for volunteers on the build site. No experience is required! Habitat Saint Louis provides training all year round to individuals who would like to become a leader. To learn more contact email@example.com
